Project Overview
Alpha Group implemented a bulk food supply project focused on the procurement and distribution of bulgur and rice to support food security and meet urgent humanitarian needs. The project aimed to ensure timely access to staple food items for vulnerable communities while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and logistical efficiency.
This intervention was designed to support emergency response and short-term food assistance programs, ensuring reliable delivery under challenging operational conditions.
Project Scope & Quantities Supplied
As part of this initiative, Alpha Group successfully supplied and delivered the following food commodities:
- Bulgur:
• Total quantity supplied: 15 000 metric tons
• Packaging: 25 kg food-grade polypropylene bags
• Quality: Cleaned, sorted, and compliant with food safety standards - Rice:
• Total quantity supplied: 10 000 metric tons
• Packaging: 25 kg food-grade bags
• Quality: Long-grain rice suitable for humanitarian food distribution
All products were sourced from approved suppliers and underwent quality checks prior to dispatch.
Implementation Timeline
The project was implemented over a 4-month period, covering procurement, packaging, transportation, and final delivery:
- Month 1: Supplier sourcing, quality verification, and contract finalization
- Month 2: Bulk procurement, packaging, labeling, and warehouse preparation
- Month 3: Transportation planning, phased deliveries, and logistics coordination
- Month 4: Final deliveries, distribution support, and handover to local partners
The timeline was strictly adhered to, ensuring uninterrupted support to beneficiaries and continuity of food assistance activities
