جامعة يو كي إم الماليزية (UKM) هي إحدى أفضل الجامعات الماليزية ويدخل اسم هذه الجامعة سنوياً في قائمة أفضل الجامعات في العالم. اندرجت هذه الجامعة في فروع الطب، والهندسة، والعلوم ضمن قائمة أفضل الجامعات الماليزية. يجدر بالذكر أنه يتبع لهذه الجامعة، أحد أفضل المستشفیات الحكومية الماليزية، واسمه مستشفى UKM ويتم إجراء كافة الأبحاث والتحايل في فروع الطب لهذه الجامعة في المستشفى المذكور.

تقع جامعة UKM الماليزية في شارع بانغي (Jalan Bangi) وفي منطقة بانغي بمدينة كاجانج (Kajang). ووقعت مدينة كاجانج على بعد 30 كيلومتراً من العاصمة كوالالمبور وتبعد عنها مسافة 25 دقيقة تقريباً بالسيارة، حيث يمكن الوصول إلى هذه الجامعة عبر خطوط KTM للسكك الحديدية خلال أقل من 50 دقيقة من مركز كوالالمبور. يمر القطار في طريقه من كوالالمبور إلى محافظة سيريمبان بهذه الجامعة وتقع إحدى محطاته المسماة بـ KTM مقابل جامعة يو كي إم. كما وتوفر الجامعة خدمة النقل الجامعي من أجل ذهاب الطلاب وإيابهم. تقع جامعة UKM على بعد 14 كيلومتراً من منطقة سردانج التي تسكنها الجالية العربية ويمكن للطلاب العرب الوصول إلى المراكز العربية في مدينة سردانج عن طريق القطار بسهولة.
